Lineless Roselia
Looking to experiment with a 'lineless' art styles, roselia was chosen as the subject due to having a simple form, but complex areas of shading in the roses on it's arms.
The piece started out with a quick sketch, before the character's form was blocked out with flat colour on another layer.
On a third layer, darker areas such as those on the flowers were filled in, with final highlights on a fourth layer.
